PERFORMER SUPPORT: Why Has a Breakdown Been Closed Early?
This article explains what it means when a breakdown has been closed early, how to identify it on the platform, and what it means for Performers and Agents.
What Does "Closed Early" Mean?
Whilst it is not common practice, there are circumstances that may require a breakdown to be closed before its original end date. This can happen for a number of reasons, such as a change in production or an overwhelming number of suggestions already having been submitted.
How to Identify a Breakdown That Has Been Closed Early
There are two places within the platform where you can identify a breakdown that has been closed early:
Breakdown List View — The breakdown will appear in red and be labelled Closed Early.
Information Bubble — Hovering over the information bubble next to the breakdown will display the reason why it was closed early.
Breakdown Details View — When you open the breakdown, it will also display the Closed Early status.
What Happens Next?
Once a breakdown has been closed early, Performers and Agents will no longer be able to submit suggestions. The only exception to this is if an amendment is sent by the Casting Director, at which point suggestions may become available again.
