Performer Support: How does the Filmmakers add-on work with my Spotlight membership?

Filmmakers is the go-to platform for casting professionals in the EU. This article explains how the Spotlight and Filmmakers cross-platform integration works, including how to purchase the add-on, how your profile is managed, and the costs involved.

Purchasing the Filmmakers add-on alongside your Spotlight membership allows a copy of your Spotlight profile to be featured and fully searchable on the Filmmakers platform (filmmakers.eu). This integration enables actors to gain wider visibility among leading casting professionals across Europe, breaking down barriers to international opportunities while promoting regional diversity.

You can sign into your Filmmakers account directly via a link on your Spotlight profile to access European jobs created by industry professionals on the Filmmakers platform.

The Filmmakers add-on is available to all Spotlight performer members. There are two ways to add it to your account:

• New or Renewing Members: The option to purchase the add-on is available at the Checkout when joining, renewing, or reactivating your membership.

• Mid-term Members: If you have an active membership and want to add Filmmakers, you can do so via My Account Settings.

Cost: The add-on costs £40 a year or £3.60 a month. Please note that account discounts only apply to the classic membership; add-ons are charged at full price.

• Profile Syncing: Any changes made to your Spotlight profile will be reflected on your Filmmakers profile automatically. You only need to update your Spotlight profile to keep both platforms current.

• Single Profile View: To avoid confusing casting professionals, your profiles will be merged so only one profile is visible regardless of the add-on.

• Casting Enquiries:

  • If you have an agent, their details will show on your Filmmakers profile for casting professionals to reach out to.

  • If you are Self-Represented, enquiries@spotlight.com will appear on your profile. Any enquiries will be checked and passed to you via your Spotlight registered email address as normal.

Add-ons can be managed through your Account Settings. If the option to cancel is not available there, please email questions@spotlight.com for assistance. Please note:

• Add-ons can only be removed at the end of a billing period.

• If you are on an annual plan, you must wait until the end of the year to cancel. The monthly option offers more flexibility for those who may need to change their membership frequently.

If you already hold separate full memberships for both Spotlight and Filmmakers, this integration does not change how you currently use each platform. To access the full benefits of each respective platform (such as the Spotlight iOS app, member events, or the Filmmakers Premium+ features), you must maintain those specific memberships.
